Circles

This is an example of a man made circle in the real world and this one does have a real impact on us in the world today. The circular shape of a quarter and all coins in general are as everyone knows, part of the currency in America and very many other countries around the world but there significance is more to us then part of the circulation of currency in the world on more of a personal level. Coins used to have no definite shape due to them being made by a metal worker pounding them with a heavy hammer, but the way we make coins today cut out the problems that old coins used to have such as having to carry around jagged metal scraps around with us that could have caused health problems within the population by people cutting themselves on the metal and having no vaccination to keep diseases that may occour through cuts by dirty metal away from the popualtion.

This is an example of a naturally made circle in the real world. The circular shape of blueberries is the result of natural growth and development for bluberries and occour natuarally in the world. Overall, i don't think there is much significance to the shape of a blueberry in terms of the human population, but the circular shape may act as an easier way to eat the blueberry comparing it to other foods we eat just by natural coincedences.

Conclusion

From doing this project and doing the research that I've done, I have expanded my knowledge of conics past the classroom into everyday life. I have learned more about conic sections in general and how they can be represented in many different forms in many different places. Above all else I have learned about conic expression and how conics influence the world we live in more than ever before with examples that were made by man and others that were made naturally.
